A third beta version of NeoBook 5.6 is now available for download. This update should correct all of the bugs reported in beta 1 and 2. Due to the nature of some of the bugs found in beta 2 we felt that an additional week or so of beta testing was warranted.

No problems downloading/installing it ... all previously tested functions work as expected.

In Design Mode ... when the mouse pointer is over the Page Tabs ... noticed that the "tips" now appear "to the right of the Page Tab under the mouse pointer" ... except when the mouse pointer is on the last Page Tab ... seems like a good compromise solution.

Hello !

First of all, thanks for this new beta update !

I have test a bit this new version, crongratulation to have corrected most of all bugs i described.

- Rescale a window with a lot of container is now really faster than with the last beta ; and texts are not cropped

- Right click on systray menu is now ok

For the moment, i just have a little bug, still with rescale window, using Listbox. I'll try to isolate the bug and post it

Another thing, i don't have hint on my Windows Vista in Neobook and in app compiled by Neobook

The comment feature only works with NeoBook functions. Not JavaScript or VBScript.

... it is an (undesirable) "feature" of phpBB ... when Mc_RaT posted the contents of his pub ... some of those extra wide lines of source made the "width" of the posted content area (for this post) to become "gazillion dots" ... and some the functions (like word wrap and quote boxes) take their widths from this value ... same thing happens when someone references an image that is too wide.

I can see it if a large image causes it, but the forum should wordwrap any text. Others posted before Dave and it was fine. Definately a glitch.

I'm sorry, it's too late to add a new action to 5.6, but you might be able to create a VBScript function to do this.

1- When an application is compiled as "runtime" is not shown the custom icon for the application. (always neobook icon)

Now, It works perfectly in beta 3, I don't know why, perhaps in previous beta nbplay.exe, wasn't registered correctly (I think)

Calling to the wizard for commands STRINS and STRDEL this error happens: Access violation at address 006F8196 in module 'Neobook.exe'. Read of address 00000224

Marquee is not visible completely.

Marquee around checkbox and RadioButton works fine when auto-size is checked.

Possible Bug:

When I run an external program from neobook with the next command:

But the parameter LoadComplete is ignored in windows vista. The machine where I test it with Windows Vista is a dual Core, perhaps, that is the reason. Could anybody test it, please?

Simply, add this code for test and check if the alertbox is shown before that the program is loaded.

The LoadComplete option appears to work correctly on my Vista dual core PC. Windows may use different criteria to decide when it considers an application to be loaded. Depending on the application this may not always be when the app's window is displayed.
