picture slider

Hi guys, is there anyway can be done to create a picture slider showing images/thumbmails of photos/gifs/videos when if clicked an action can be taken. Wanting to do something like on the left of screen a scrolling pane containing images/thumbnails of photos/gifs/videos. Just wonder if a plugin exists. Thanks guys.
