Will the Cloud burst like the dot.com bubble of the 1990s?.... Just do the math and read the article above. It's a rip-off... and their false advertising is criminal in nature. If you are an app developer you might have to pay out thousands every month only to keep your product available through some of the online app builders and their "Stores"

Net neutrality as it currently stands is much ado about nothing. The article points out that some IOT devices may not have the millisecond responsiveness they want to get data across the internet. My point is, most don't need that ultra high performance and (email / web browsing / streaming, etc is common usage). If people want ultra high performance from their connection to the internet, then pay for it. Don't expect to be subsidized by grandma reading her email. Or the other way around, give Grandma (and most people) a discount who DON"T need that level of connectivity. I find the argument FOR net neutrality is raised by those who want unlimited, ultra fast, internet for cheap.

Cheap / Fast / Good - pick any two.

The fairest way of dealing with costs is one the net neutrality people cannot stand: pay per byte of traffic. Example: 1 megabyte = $.005 Networks are not unlimited. They are designed to have certain capacity. If someone (read Google/Netflix) take 25-50% of total Internet capacity during the evening, who should pay for that? Grandma reading her mail?

You quote a comedian about a technical issue. I find him not credible to discuss this point accurately. I was a (micro) ISP owner years ago. For providers, it is all about bandwidth. It is not unlimited. Some people want "market opportunities" at bargain rates given to the average user (browsing/email/streaming occasionally). But if you want performance from the network, you should be willing to pay for performance (faster response times, greater bandwidth, etc.).

The providers offer network services. You should be able to choose affordable service, even if it is less than a high tech company needs. If you want more, pay more. Or go start your own network. You want market opportunities that require services beyond what entry level users get, then pay for it.
