Input boxes being covered when key pad pops up.

Is there anyway to stop the Input boxes being covered by a large void area that comes up above the popup Key or Number pad on the Android Phone?

It only happens on the input boxes that are in the bottom half of the screen, when the key pad pops up, the objects are moved up the screen as you would expect but there is a section of void space above the key pad that is blank and covers the input box so you can not see what is being typed.

If you touch and scroll the blank section, it will move up and down.

Any ideas?

I've seen that too, but I'm not sure what the solution is. If we allow the app's size to be changed, then the interface gets squashed vertically and you can read what's being typed either.
