the impact 3D printing will have

Post by fkapnist »

I see that now some developers are worried about the sudden market craze with tablets and touch-controlled apps... Hmm... You weren't left behind were you? lol.

We know what the next market craze will be. It's just around the corner. 3D printing promises to change the face of the manufacturing industry! It's impact will be tremendous (maybe production-line factories will cease to exist)! The apps that take 3D printing into account will be way ahead of the game. You won't be left behind, will you?

Consider this: killer apps will soon be able to print out objects and "gifts" for their users. Say for example you have an app about cars. You can print out a small model of the car you like. Or lets say you have an app about machine parts. Should I say more? 3D printing does not only print small objects: It can print out food and even human organs (using stem cells as ink)...

Something to think about for the not-too-distant future... I personally intend to print out a copy of myself.... (maybe not)

Will humans still be able to get jobs in the 3D printer factories or will the printers make themselves?

We can't/won't stop progress, but in the future we'll need to radically change our economy because there are very few jobs that computers and robots won't be able to do cheaper and better than humans. Silicon Valley CEO is probably one job that will never be given to a robot, but everyone else....

I'd be OK with that.

"Actually, Robots programming other Robots" will be one of the first jobs to disappear ... or have already disappeard ... will be equipped with RAD facilities like NeoBook, NeoAppMaker and the (to be announced in 2016) NeoRobotMaker (otherwise known as Rapid Robot Maker).

Some of the last jobs to disappear in the west will be Janitors, Farm Workers and others like them that "even Robots in the West" will refuse to do ... until cheaper Robots from other "developing" countries are brought in (illegally). :)

Maybe the robots will use us as "batteries" like the Matrix!

Human Battery - at least it's a job.
