Edge browser is Webkit (Chrome) not Trident based

Post by fkapnist »

I am sorry to report that the new Windows Edge browser is Webkit (Chrome) not Trident based. I was expecting it. All the other browsers (Firefox, Opera) were eventually forced into it also... Does it matter? The Chrome Webkit engine is "NSA compliant," meaning that a 3rd party iframe (advert) can take over your browser and do things like disable Javascript. I have this test page for anyone interested: http://www.verticalbrowser.com/firefoxtest.htm

Since I live in Greece and have firsthand experience (of the Eurozone crisis) I am not afraid to say: kiss democracy goodbye folks. A coming new digital dictatorship is so corrupt that it can only crash itself.... But we pretend we don't notice.... lol .... waiting to pick up the pieces and start again.
