In windows7 when open up a windows explorer browse you see a side bar with favorites libraries etc.
I would like to know if there is a facility or plug-in within Neobook to do the same when selecting a folder
I know the npUtil has this facility when selecting a file using "npOpenFileDialog" but I am looking for this when selecting a folder.
Thanks

Re: Folder Selection dialogue box with Favorites sidebar
Good question to ask. I see apps that I use which do not have that viewing ability (example: filezilla FTP) and it doesn't fit in well with my production workflow in my daily job. I found the following registry key that has listing of additional libraries I have made:shx wrote:In windows7 when open up a windows explorer browse you see a side bar with favorites libraries etc.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths
but I do not find a clear linkage between the name of the library and the path it points to.
There are a few references of how to turn Libraries on/off in explorer I found:
http://www.howtogeek.com/96280/

But your question of how to include them in a file/folder listing using NB tools is a good one. I might suggest that support@Neosoftware.com consider this as a future enhancement. I know it could be helpful.

Hello,
In Windows (at my knowledge) do not exists a "directory dialog" which the appareance of "file open" or "file save" dialogs. The existing "directory dialog" is what npFolderDialog action offer. If you need more than these standard dialogs can offer you need to deal with your own created components. Probably you can make something using NeoBookFM/FTP plugin or just decide to still into the standard dialogs.
