Re: Help with stamps.

So, is there some way to convert the old to the newer type? I have a lot of custom made symbols that I don't want to lose. As an alternative, is there some way I could download the old NeoPaint 4.7c, and then open the old stamps there?

Re: Help with stamps.

I just accidentally discovered something odd. I tried changing the extensions of two of the stamps that didn't work to .stw. One started working and the other didn't. But here's the oddity. All the stamps that don't work have a strange corrupted file-size. (Not file size, but image dimensions.) Dang...

Help with stamps.

I tried to bring all my old ver 4.7c stamps over to ver 5.3.0 by simply copying them to the new folder. They copy ok, and the names show up, but only a very few are visible and actually work. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why some do and others don't. Any ideas? Do I need to con...

Re: can't find the Crop Tool in Neopaint 5

What I've found to be even easier, is just use the scissors tool, to cut out what you want, then hit CTRL + R. Works great.

Re: Neopaint Future upgrade Request

I would love to see you bring back the ability, (in "settings"), to select the default ruler mode. Ver 5.3 always starts in "inches". I always have to manually change it to "pixels". Ver 4.7c had this capability.

More of us do than you might think.

For example, a pure DOS 6.22 machine, with QuickBASIC 4.5 installed, is the coolest programmable calculator yet available.

Having NeoPaint for DOS, on the side, is even cooler. 8)

BTW, thanks for still supplying the link to the old DOS version. :)

Thanks for that link. I'm a registered DOS version user, but lost my download. The DOS version still does something the newest Windows version doesn't . . . F3 for full-screen editing.

(I wish you'd bring that function back.)

Antialias problem with new version.

Actually, I believe I've had this problem since 4.c. Anyway, look at the following text: (This text is magnified. It was a 12-point font.) http://www.neighborhost.com/temp/antialias.png Look how the non-antialiased version actually has more color "shadowing" around it then the antialiased ...

Liitle bug in NeoPaint.

The new 4.7b looks nice, but I'd still love to see the items mentioned here fixed. :? In the mean time, has anyone else noticed this little "bug": Open or create a new pic. Draw something, anything. Select the "stamp" tool. Now do a "cool switch", (Alt +Tab), to select ...

The best way to learn is to simply play with it. ;)

The beauty of NeoPaint, is that you can start making fairly complex graphics after only a few minutes of "playing". Just open a new window, and start drawing.

NeoStamp filename extension

I've noticed that when I creat a stamp, it gets saved with the extension .stw. In order for it to show up in the stamp selection window, I have to rename the extension to .st. Is this normal. Am I doing this correctly.

Not a big deal. Just seems odd.

btw - Love the new forum software. ;)

Thanks folks. But now I've noticed another oddity. I don't have all the stamps that I originaly had. Like the electronic symbols, for example. Would this be because I used the downloaded version, rather than installing from my original CD? Is there any way to get the stamps back without doing a whol...

Two feature requests.

Two things I'd like to see: 1. Allow user selectable start-up colors. The program always starts with blue/black. I use black/white almost exclusively. 2. This almost seems like a bug. Whenever you select the "rectangle" tool, the fore/back colors reverse. It seems to me that if you're draw...
