Pub doesnt open with NeoBookFM/FTP

I had problems with my compiled pub on different computers. So I made some tests and this is what I found out:
As soon as I use a single line using NeoBookFM/FTP the compiled pub doesnt start / open on my Laptop anymore.

It works fine on my PC (Windows XP)
Not on my Laptop (Windows 7)
I use NeoBookFM/FTP 1.1.a

One more test:

The same pub compiled on my laptop itself (windows7) opens/starts on the laptop
the pub compiled on my pc (XP) doesnt open / start on the laptop

Are there any error messages when the compiled app fails to start on the laptop?

Also, check the advanced page of NeoBook's Compiler screen and make sure "Windows Temporary Folder" is selected as the location for extracted files.

There are no embedded files to extract. Its a simple test-pub with a picture and a link to a second page.
As soon as I add connect local (for example) it doesnt work anymore.

No, there are no error messages - just the hour glass for a second - and then nothing anymore

The plug-in's files have to be extracted. Windows 7 is very picky about where files can be extracted, but normally that type of problem should display an error message.

It could be that one of the plug-in files on the XP machine is corrupted. Try downloading and re-installing a fresh copy of FM/FTP on the XP machine.

Try using a different plugin and see if the same thing happens.

This is slightly different than mikeyww's problem.

What version of Windows 7 is on the laptop - Starter, Home Premium, etc.?

Is this a standard laptop or a "netbook"?

Can you send me copies of both exe files (one compiled under XP and one compiled under Win7)?

Yes, its Windows 7 Starter on my Netbook!

Inbetween I bought a new computer - so I cant post the pub I used. To be true - I forgot about this problem

Both Siegmar and mikeyww have netbooks with Windows 7 Started that will not run compiled pubs with containing the FM/FTP. However, Luiz Alfredo reported the following:

I compiled all NeoBookFM/FTP samples in Windows 7 Professional (64 Bits - Version 6.1.7601) and in Windows 7 Starter (32 Bits - Version 6.1.7600) and all resulting Exes are running well in the Windows 7 Starter machine.

Siegmar and mikeyww: what version of Windows 7 Starter do you have installed?
