Hello all,

Does anyone has any experience with OFTP (OdetteFTP Protocol) in combination with Neobook?

Best regards,

Eric

I hadn't heard of this protocol before, but I found some information about it on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, it probably won't work with FM/FTP since it appears to be completely different than the normal FTP protocol that the plug-in was designed to use. You will probably need a plug-in specifically written to work with OFTP.

Hello,

A plugin like NeoBookFM/FTP it's not easy to develop. Anyone is easy, but some are more complex than others, obviously, and a complete FTP client plugin like NeobookFM/FTP have their complexity. On the other hand, searching the web for Delphi components to deal with OFTP, unfortunatelly, we can't found anyone, open source or not, which is a not a common thing. And this is what I can say about this question Eric.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for your reaction.

I know I will not work with NeoBookFM/FTP, it's (but you already know) a protocol for EDI transmission mainly in the automotive world.
Our ERP supplier isn't able to integrate it in the ERP (more they are too lazy ), so I started to develop a system around it.
In the mean time I'm already perfect able to read and write the EDI packages, but I have to find out now how to receive and transmit them.....

I thought maybe someone has some experience with it...

But you're right I think also I will need a special plugin for this.

Best regards,

Eric

Hello David,

How are you my friend I hope fine.

I found already something, also opensource:

http://oftp2.mendelson-e-c.com/
http://accord.ow2.org/odetteftp/ mainly hosted on http://websvn.ow2.org/listing.php?repna ... d&path=%2F

Next to this I also found something about Delphi and OFTP2 but I didn't save the link so I'm searching again :P

Regards,

Eric
